Street, Ithaca, N.Y.
Present: Commissioners Danny Slattery, Jonathan
Laskowitz, Bird MacGruder, Charles FW=m Pollee Chief
Ed Valely, Staff Nancy Falconer. Absent Bob Wigden, Jewle
Fisher. Nancy Schuler not present because of transfer to
another committee. New CC member not yet appointed.
Election of of for this year. Dan Slattery nominated by
Jon Laskewitz, voted unanimously to Chair. Jon Laskowitz
nominated by Charles Firenze and voted unan®onsly to Vice
Chair. Jonathan will continue to handle the agent of new
complaints to Board members for investigation.
1. No public was present to speak.
2. No Common Council Member was present to report.
3. Police Report:
Chief Vallely reported that Officer Nelson was
commended for his handling of an incident with a man
who was wielding a machete in Center Ithaca.
4. No Old Business
5. New Business
Commissioner Firenze will be away for the next two meet-
ings.
6. Motion to adjourn to Executive Session to discuss progress
and findings on complaints; return to public meeting and
adjourn.
7. Two investigations were discussed:
a) One case will be carried over to allow time to try
still another contact. Letter will state that after
Several attempts, investigation will be closed on the
27th if we do not hear back. (Macgruder)
b) This complaint was reported and voted unfounded.
