ITHACA COMMUNITY POLICE BOARD MEETING DRAFT MINUTES:
PLACE: 3`d Floor City Hall 108 East Green St. Ithaca
TIME/DATE: 12/18/08 3:30 pm
Present: Commissioners Slattery, Wigden, Laskowitz, Flannery, MacGruder, Charles Firenze, Jewle
Fisher, Councilperson Nancy Schuler, Nancy Falconer, Staff. Excused, Deputy Chief Ed Vallely
This meeting was called to order at 3:34pm
1. Approval of minutes of November 20, 2008- Motion made by Wigden, seconded by Laskowitz,
approved unanimously.
2. Comments by the Public:
No public was present.
3. Report from Common Council
Discussion of issues.
4.Report from Police Department
Police were absent due to swearing in of new Chief.
5. Old Business
Kerry Flannigan has resigned and this is her last meeting, since she has moved out of the city.
6. New Business
Jewle Fisher, the newly appointed member filling the Youth position, was introduced and was given a brief
overview of the CPB operations.
7. Motion to Adiourn to Executive Session to Discuss Results of Current Investigations. Motion by
Laskowitz and second by MacGruder.
8. Return to Public Session, Report on Findings, and Adiournment Progress on four complaints was
discussed.
1. (Slattery) Recommended and voted founded.
2. (MacGruder) Carried over for completion of investigation.
3. (MacGruder) Recommended founded. Vote was 3 for founded and two disagree with this.
4. (Firenze) Voted unfounded, unanimously.
