Present: Commissioners Wigden, Slattery, Laskowitz; Hill, Whispell, Passmore,
Common Council Liaison Coles. Staff, Nancy Falconer Guest: Judge Marjorie
Olds. Excused: Commissioner Nelson, Absent: Board Members Perkins.
Flannery, Deputy Chief Curatolo, Chief Signer.
1. Approval of minutes of September 28, 2006 : Moved by Slattery, second by
Laskowitz. Approved unanimously.
2. Guest: Judge Marjorie Olds described the Drug Treatment Court procedures
and the successes, and asked for our backing in the face of a possible cut from the
city roll and combination with the County.
3. Common Council report: Discussion of current happenings in Council.
4. Report from the Police Department:
No members of the Police Department were present.
5. Old Business:
a) Chair will be out of town on the 10 when our budget is scheduled to be
presented to CC. R. Passmore will take it to the meeting, Staff will have it
prepared and copies available for the members.
b) Ron Passmore played a tape of the interview as it was done by Wigden on the
radio last month, in which he described the functions and goals of the CPB.
c ) Scheduled: tabling for Apple Harvest on Saturday, 09/30/06 from 124.
6. New Business
No new business recorded
7. Motion made to adjourn to Executive Session to discuss investigations: by
Slattery.
8. Motion to return to Public Session , report results, and adjourn
Five complaints were discussed. Results were:
1. Two investigations are carried over until next month, still incomplete.
2. One investigation was voted unfounded. Vote unanimous.
3. One investigation was voted founded: Vote unanimous.
4. One investigation voted to close because of lack of response from complainant.
5. One new complaint assigned.
Meeting adjourned
