Present: Commissioners Wigden, Slattery, Youth Board Member Perkins, Nelson,
Flannery, Hill, Deputy Chief Curatolo, Common Council Liaison Coles.
Excused: Commissioners Passmore, Chief Signer, Laskowitz; absent, Whispell,
1. Approval of minutes of June 22, 2006 : Moved by Slattery, second by Nelson.
Approved unanimously.
2. No public was present.
3. Common Council report: Liaison Coles discussed the budget preparations by the
city departments.
4. Report from the Police Department:
Aggressive recruitment is ongoing. Preparation for return of students and their
parties includes larger fines this year.
5. Old Business:
a) . Wigden has contacted WHCU about obtaining approval for some
announcements re CPB. Approved by WHCU.
b) Perkins will check on when there is a good opportunity to present material on
CPB to the high school, and Chief Curatolo will set up some material for it
6. New business
a) Budget preparation has begun by CPB staff for 2007.
7. Motion made to adjourn to Executive Session to discuss investigations: by
Slattery.
8. Motion to return to Public Session , report results, and adjourn . Two new cases
were assigned to Flannery and Perkins and to Wigden. Meeting Adjourned.
