MINUTES: Ithaca Community Police Board
PLACE: 108 E. Green Street City Hall, Common Council Chambers, 3rd floor
DATE & TIME: 3:30 PM November 20, 2003
PRESENT: Commissioners Wigden, Whispell, Slattery, Passmore, Dill,
Laskowitz, Rovelstad; Alderperson Pryor,Chief Loo, Deputy Chief Barnes.
Staff, Nancy Falconer Excused: Commissioner Nelson
1. Minutes of 10/23/03
Approved, motion by Passmore, unanimous.
2. Common Council Report
Budget for the city for 2004 has been passed. Suggestion made to invite the
mayor elect to a meeting of CPB to familiarize her with Board members and
procedure.
3. Report from the Police Department
Discussion, no action taken.
4. Old Business
Commissioner Passmore distributed a framework for a brochure on information
for citizens. Any information will be vetted by the IPD and the City Attorney before
distribution. Discussion followed; no action taken.
5. New Business
A card of thanks was signed by members for resigning Commissioner McGruder.
There will be a short get together after the December 18 meeting to which she will
be invited.
6. Motion made to adjourn to Executive Session by Ron Passmore.
