Comments from the Public No one from the public attended. 2. Report from Common Council Budget meetings are scheduled to be held at Common Council in October. The date for CPB hearing will be announced later. 3. Report From Police Chief a) Budgeting concerns in the IPD are related to staff positions. At 0% increase, the result is -8 staff; at 3% decrease, -11 % staff. b) Officer of the Month is Christopher Miller. c) The video controller is on order. d) Pud's Run will begin at 10 AM, volunteers should be there at 9:15. The race will last less than an hour. Nancy F., Birdie, and Pat will attend to staff the water table for CPB. 4.0Id Business a) Commissioner Killeen shared some pamphlet material provided by the RIBs (Recycle Ithaca Bicycles Safely) program. Chief Basile offered to post material at the station, and the officers are to use as needed. The board expressed the opinion that CPB does not really have any legitimate reason to be supporting the RIBs effort with manpower or other help, although obviously it is in favor of these efforts. b) Human Services Neighborhood Day should be scheduled in September and will need to be tabled by board members. It lasts from noon to six PM. 5.New Business Cornell and possibly Ithaca College Safety officers will be visiting next meeting to discuss how CPB might cooperate with them as well as other issues. The next meeting will be held in the small conference room, third floor City Hall. 6. Approval of Minutes the minutes for June 28 and July 26, 2001 were approved unanimously. The next meeting will be held September 27 in the 3`d floor small conference room behind Common Council Chambers. The meeting was adjourned to Executive Session.
