The I:.aycr announced the purpose of his calling this
s-oecial session was to consider and act on the
sug[>estion that due to "-,he bank holidays fur-cher time
be given the taxpayers within tkhich to pay -the State
and Ccu;zty t-a,-_es for she Ci tz- of Ithaca without the
additional 4?o penalty.
There was a brief discussion.

posed if the city,actin- as collector of the State
and Co-.z_ity taxes, enforced the additional T) -ialty
for non-nay:,ient after .:larch 14,1933,

Ithaca City Charter and the State Tax Law, anplicable
thereto, '
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ca:.i�,,on Council hereby
waives the collection of the ac.%itional 4o penalty
for overdue payment of State and County taxes, from
parch 14 to April 14 inclusive, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Chmzberlain be and he
hereby is authorized to accept and collect the
curse -it State and County taxes at the regular legal
fee of 1% to and including April 14,1933 a-nd,
beginning April 15,1933, he shall collect the
reula.r 5 jo fee.
