Minutes of the precedi�hg :meeting were duly approved.
The .ayor reported briefly on his visit to Albany
for the I,ii d-Winter meeting of the :;ayor t s Conference.

Building The Cler'h ..read fro --I the Minutes of the Planning
Zone Co.a.1i ssion of February 26th wherein they reco:n _fended various
Ordi- aLienaments to the Building Zone Ordinance. Each aaend�nent
nance was discussed, particularly the one proposed to remove
hotels from the "B" residence district and place such
construction along with apartment houses, hospitals etc.,
under Section 8a.

RESOLVED: that the Conlon Council approves of adoption
of the amendments as reco _fended.
Ayes --Causer, Comfort, Toimsend,Rogalsky, Campbell,
Ways--Gill,jyers,Hof fman, Sammons.
The ::tayor declared the ,notion lost on the grounds that
it required a r_iaj ority vote of full membership.
Comiaissioner Dofflenryer called attention to the
fact that the present edition of the Zoning Ordinance was
exhausted and that certain a endments were desirable before
a new edition is printed and recom._-,ended that such
changes be studied.

RESOLVED: that the entire Zoning Ordinance be
referred to the Planning Co:n :ission for study with regard
to revision and reprinting.

the Finance Coy.: _iittee be and the sane are hereby approved
for payment.

Charter The Clerk reed a proposed amendlent to Sec.146 of
the City Charter designcd to clarify the provisions thereof
and t-hc same was, on ,motion.. laid upon the desks of the
members until the next regular meeting.
Alderman Campbell read a proposed aiend.:lent to
Sec.24 of the City Charter designed to clarify the pro-
visions thereof with particular reference to :raking it
co: -:for -.a to the present Public Welfare Law, and the sa__ie
ivas on :_.otion laid upon the desks of the ;:se.sbers until
the next regular meeting.
