Mayor Hove announced the purpo;;e of the
Special Pieetinl; wn:, to ean9ider e, recltteFt from
the Board of Public Works for additionpl vppr.o-
priation in tiocordance with the -resolut-ion
passed at the T3oa.rd' , ri.oeting, Nov. 13th,
that is a.n a.dditioncal Pqmro:aria.tion of not
over 314,7on to complete the viork of filling
the Airport by the State Dredge and to clean out
the silt, gravel,stone etc., that a.ccimulatedn
Ca scadi.11a Creek due to the heavy reins of lest
sumrier ; the re -appropriation of earnings a.nd
revenues of the Board over and ,above the
Rudget ept-Imp to ; and a,uthor.i ation to transfer
any surplus that mrty accrue in one branch of
the service under the jurisdiction and Piidget
of the Board to cover any deficit tint may
accrue in :?6r?e other. branch.
Clerk Kerr explained the requisition
and also the present fins.ncial condition, and
estimated thet if thikee additional appropria-
tions were made and e;;pended., there would still
be a substantial dish bcala.nce at the close of
the year, due to some revenues exceedinff the
Budget estimates.
