I Due notice having; been given (a copy of which is
attached hereto) the ha"yor continued a Special Meeting of
thj~ Council to consider matters relatintr to a petition
filed by the Ithaca Street Railway Company asking for
certain conce',ei£=iono and an arrrended Franchise.

Railway Co., ilr. Sherruui Peer and I!r. Donald Stewart were
State Street present in behalf of the Street Rtailv-' ay Company. After
coiiside'rable discussion the follovi.ng resolattions
were dilly adopted.

R];aULVED: that the Corlmon Council hereby goes on
record as being; in favor of abolishing,the clause ,in
Franchise the Franchise of the Ithaca. Street Railway Company d
paving must pave and maintatin -the pavement betweem their
outertrjost tracks and two feet outside thereof.

State St. thzft the Street Railway Company rvil.l completely rehabilitate
its traokacpe retainiiig the; present established track grade
paving from 'the foot Of Ellst State Street Hill to Albany Street,
pro rate-111-i' the. Comr on Council hereby recortirlends to the Board of
Public 17orks that they proceed at once with the re'suriacing
of State Street on this basis and at ail e:,ti.rjEttt:d cost
of i318,000.

agreeing that the bills shotald be pnAd rj,nd presented for
:formal approval at the next meeting.
