Call to Order Chairperson Tracy Farrell called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. with members Susan Cummings, Caleb Thomas, Teresa Halpert, and Fernando de Aragón present. Also present were staff member Nels Bohn, and Joe Bowes, Susan Oottenweller and Mark Pandolf of PLAN Architectural Studio. II. Additions to or deletions from the agenda - None III. Public comment- None IV. New Business a) City Comprehensive Plan—discussion Nels Bohn led a discussion of the City’s Comprehensive Plan process. Significant discussion on outreach efforts and ensuring the interests of the IURA, especially those focused on neighborhood stability and homeownership followed. Bohn was directed to draft a letter to Clarion Associates to be considered by the IURA. b) Application Material for the 2012 Grant—discussion A brief review of the application forms for the 2012 grant was undertaken. Committee members generally approved of the format but raised questions about the level of detail needed for proper evaluation of the proposals. Kittel will continue to modify the forms and will keep the committee members apprised of newer versions as they become available. c) other- None VI. Old Business a) update on possible Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Project Pathstone staff reported on the results of their inspection of the Parkside Gardens property and provided drawings showing possible layouts of a future project. The total number of units and the rent structures was discussed. IURA committee members reiterated their commitment to the proper treatment of current Parkside tenants as well as the necessity of maintaining the community feel of the Parkside units. Currently Parkside is 100% occupied and committee members noted conversations they had with residents on their field trip to the site. b) other- None VII. Staff Report- None VIII.
