J. Randall Meeting began at approximately 7:30 pm. No quorum was present, so this is not an official meeting of the CAC. The group reviewed the month's site plan applications that the Planning Board will be reviewing at its Dec 18th meeting: site plan review for 130 Clinton St apartments; site plan review for Harold's Square mixed use project, 123-127, 133, 135, 137-139 E. State St; and site plan review for Maguire Vehicle Sales Lot, 150-154 Cecil A. Malone Dr. Group formulated recommendations to submit to the Planning Board. Group discussed the need to recruit new members. Mary Tomlan was floated as a possible recruit, as was Anne Clavel. R. Shamieh suggested targeting retirees for recruitment efforts, since they tend to have more time to devote and can have a wealth of experience and social and professional contacts to draw from. R. Shamieh reported that she and J. Hill met with Mayor Myrick earlier in the day. During that conversation they discussed projects that the CAC should prioritize for the year. On the top of the list was working with the GPA Committee about restructuring the various committees, boards, and councils in the City. Green building codes also came up, and the Mayor said that that should be addressed after the comprehensive plan was in place. A third project was a review of the Energy Action Plan, which has not been adopted by the City yet. T. Shelley, who was a member of the Energy Action Committee, pointed out that that committee did review the Energy Action Plan but that they were told that it should be incorporated into the comprehensive planning process, which is why it has not been adopted. Group dispersed at about 8:50 pm.
