Reason for Request:
This amount covers 3 seasonal staff to maintain the new Commons in the afternoons, evenings, and
weekends as more of the Commons project is completed and opened for public use in 2015. This budget
will increase to $110,000 per year (in 2015 dollars) starting in 2016.
Effect if not funded:
Currently, DPW crews maintain and clean the Commons from 6 am to 2:30 pm. If this is not funded, the
appearance and cleanliness of the Commons will be degraded in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
