If IFD taught the training, the price would cover up to 20 people. Comm. Williams asked is we would accept someone from another area that has training. DC Dorman thought that as long as the person had NY State Certification that we would. Comm. Romanowski asked if the IFD specific training would be outside regular shifts. DC Dorman explained that it due to the number of calls, that would prevent them from doing it during a regular shift. The rate for training would be at an overtime rate of approximately $50 an hour. This is the worst -case scenario. Bunker training consists of 3 weeks of intensive training prior to bunking (before school starts). Comm. Gilligan asked what the maximum number of bunkers we could accommodate is. DC Dorman thought it might be 28 bunkers. DC Dorman and Dianne McGrady met to update the 2008 budget files. The budget will tentatively be done by July 29, 2008 and a meeting will be held at 6:00 pm on the same day. Comm. Gilligan suggested making a request for funding for bunkers. DC Dorman pointed out that raises need to be addressed. Report on Fire /Police — Dept. of Labor started that Fire /Police would need physicals. Comm.
