Announcements, Reports & Presentations 00:08:45 Announcements: Funding Report – what current and future money does the City have coming in? 00:08:45 Commission members asked questions about each funding stream. 1. Schumer Funding 1 - $1.5M - Energy Audits for ICSD and Energy Warriors Workforce Development Program 2. Schumer Funding 2 – $1M - Clean Hydrogen Project at Southworks for the charging of electric vehicles (specifically TCAT buses). Possibly pulling 75k from this to support Ithaca Bikeshare. 3. Department of Environmental Conservation of NY State - $100,000 – Fleet Electrification Contract was kicked off today and possibly other applications. 4. Clean Energy Communities by NYSERDA – up to ~$150,000 – The City of Ithaca can earn points for doing clean energy actions. We have a list of qualifying activities and are getting the paperwork together to submit them. Money can be spent on a variety of clean energy projects. 5. Park Foundation - $75k - Consulting for engagement in the Ithaca Green New Deal 6. KPMG Global Consulting – Free Services (“In kind”) - Working on next steps. Bulk Purchasing – currently looking into possible pathways. 4. New Business: Proposed Justice50 Resolution Draft Discussion 00:45:30 o Agenda topic requests by Commission members can be submitted in new online form. o Changed agenda from previous “Sticks and Carrots Discussion” to address more urgent need to discuss the drafted Justice50 resolution support letter. o Discussion on the draft of the Commission’s Justice50 Resolution support letter that will go to Common Council. Clarification and editing of language, format, definitions, and content. o Siobhan and Aaron will take lead on finalizing the draft, to be able to vote on at the next meeting. They will send draft a week prior to the meeting. 5. Meeting Wrap-up: David Kay 01:36:00 Next Meeting is tentatively scheduled for April 15th to avoid the eclipse, barring any major scheduling issues. Savannah will send Commission members the acronym document, funding source summary sheets, old Justice50 discussion recording, agenda topic request form, and information about Energy Warriors.
