COMMUNITY POLICE BOARD MINUTES
Special Meeting 4:00 p.m. December 9, 2020
Present:
Commissioners (7) Beem-Miller, Rogers, Wright, Simons, Korthuis, Onyejuruwa Youth
Commissioner: Logue

IPD Chief Nayor
Public Information Specialist - Faraday
Call to Order: 4:06 pm
Report from the Police Department:
Commissioner Onyejuruwa requested a COVID update. Chief Nayor reports that the Department
had 2 positive cases that had to quarantine, but no further spread. They are practicing PPE,
testing, and quarantining contacts as needed. Trying as best to be safe on response to calls,
maintaining distance when possible, requesting regular testing, waiting to hear about surveillance
testing in house, nothing on site presently.
Youth Commissioner Logue inquired about Health screenings prior to shift. IPD is filling out
health questionnaires and screening temperatures prior to shift start.
Commissioner Rogers offers a thank you to DC Joly, who is not present at the meeting, for the
timely turn around on a large amount of requested materials for investigations.
Motion to enter Executive Session to discuss active investigations:
By Commissioner Simons: Seconded by Commissioner Wright
RESOLVED, That the Board enter into Executive Session to discuss active investigations:
2020-3, 2020-4, 2020- 5, & 2020-6
Final Draft Reports for active investigations: 2020-3, 2020-4, 2020- 5, & 2020-6 were approved
on a motion
