("Sample" Ballot of Voting Machine)
Village of Dryden Election
March 20, 1990
VOTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Move the Red Handle to the Right.
2.Turn the Lever over the name of each candidate you wish to vote for from this position
to this position and leave the voting levers DOWN.
3. Move the Red Handle o the Left.
No one will know how you have voted because the movement of the curtain lever returns the voting levers to the unvoted
posdon before the curtain begins to open.
Each candidate's voting lever is located just above the name; a voting lever must be turned down over the name of each
candidate for whom you wish to vote. Leave voting levers down.
The machine is so arranged that you can turn down only the proper number of voting levers for each office or proposal.
IF NAME IS NOT ON MACHINE
To vote for a candidate whose name does not appear on the machine, raise the diagonal slide (at the top of the machine)
over the title of the office, and write therein the name you wish to vote for.
No votes are registered until the curtain lever is moved to open the curtain, and so you can make as many changes as you
desire while the curtain lever is at the right side.
