The Tompkins County United Way Campaign has
reached almost one -third of its goal. Many County
employees have participated and I hope many more
will. If you have not yet turned in your pledge card,
please do it now You may also have noticed penny
jars in several County locations. The United Way is
hoping to collect a million pennies to help reach its
goal this year You can find penny jars at Budget 1
and Finance, County Clerk, Dept. of Social
Services -front desk, Highway, Sheriff, Planning,
and Health department.

expenses, and absenteeism, but it is also true that
workplaces can be an ideal place for employees facing
abuse to get help.
Here are some suggestions for anyone dealing with
