State Street, Suite A Ithaca, New York 14850 (607) 272-6477 (607) 273-6322 (fax) Sealed Bids for the construction of the above-named project will be received by the Office of the Village Clerk, 836 Hanshaw Road, Ithaca, New York 14850, until 2:00 PM local time Tuesday, May 10, 2022 and will then be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Bid for Cayuga Heights Road Culvert Right-Sizing” In general, the project consists of replacing 9 existing culverts along and crossing Cayuga Heights Road with larger diameter pipes and new precast concrete drainage structures. The Village has purchased and is storing many of the pipe materials to be installed for the culvert replacement work. The Bidding Documents may be inspected at the office of the Village Superintendent of Public Works and the office of the Engineer. A copy of the Bidding Documents, as listed in the Table of Contents, can be obtained only from the Issuing Office by contacting David A. Herrick, P.E. via email at dah@tgmillerpc.com. Include in the email subject line the following: REQUEST FOR BIDDING DOCUMENTS-VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS. Bidders must provide their full business name, delivery address, phone number, contact name and carrier account number for express delivery of the Bidding Documents. All Bids must be made on the official Bid Forms, and be accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond, payable to the Village of Cayuga Heights, in the amount equal to 5% of the Base Bid. All such bid securities will be returned no later than the forty-sixth day after the Bid opening. Amendments can only be accomplished by means of Addenda issued by the Engineer. Written questions should be addressed to David Herrick, P.E. at dah@tgmillerpc.com and copied to Brent Cross at bcross@cayuga-heights.ny.us Questions must be received by 5:00 PM on May 2, 2022. Questions received after the deadline will not be answered. Funding for this Project comes in part through a grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Bidders are directed to review the Standard Clauses for New York State ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 00 10 00-2 Contracts included in the Project Manual. A Contractor’s Certification of Receipt of Wage Schedule in compliance with NYS Labor Law, Section 220-a, must be submitted with the bid. Under Article 15A, Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women-Owned Businesses (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts. The following combined goal of 5% for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) has been set for the work of this Contract. The successful bidder may be required to furnish an EEO policy statement and reports showing the participation of various business enterprises of subcontractors and suppliers to be utilized for the Project. The successful bidder must submit within seven business days of Owner’s request, a Grants MWBE Utilization Plan, Contractor’s Solicitation Log, and documentation that NYS Certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) were contacted during the preparation of said bid. Failure to submit the requested documentation will deem the bid non-responsive and will be rejected. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Village. END OF ADVERTISEMENT
