Germano 870 Highland Road Ithaca, NY 14850 201-247-7970 January 19, 2022 Dear Village of Cayuga Heights Planning Board: I am submitting an application to build a home on the property at 893 Highland Road, Cayuga Heights. My husband and I recently purchased the neighboring home at 870 Highland Road, and my intention is to build a home on the undeveloped land at 893 Highland for my mother, Rosalie Chamberlain, who currently lives in Durham, North Carolina. I have entered a contract to purchase the property from the current owner, Alyssa Fontaine, and our contract specifically provides that I have agency to appear before the Board regarding development of the property. I listed myself as “homeowner” on the Board’s online application because that seemed to be the closest choice on the drop-down menu, and I am providing this letter to further clarify my status as to the land, to ensure I am being accurate. (The contract to purchase the land is contingent on my seeking and obtaining the Board’s approval to build a home on the property.) Also, because this is an application for a site plan review, I do not believe Worker’s Compensation Insurance or an exemption regarding that is required at this stage, but if you require that or any additional information or documentation to review my application at the meeting on January 24, 2022, please let me know. The draft architecture plans, and the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), that we are submitting for your review were prepared by Firehouse Architecture LAB, PLLC, in Ithaca, Emily Petrina, RA, and Craig Eagleson, PE. To prepare the plans and SWPPP, we obtained an updated survey of the land, with the creek bank and other features noted, from T.G. Miller, P.C. Thank you for your time and consideration of this plan. I look forward to meeting you and addressing any questions at the meeting on January 24, 2022. Respectfully submitted, Judith H.
