I spoke with Linda Kessler in Tompkins County Personnel regarding the setting up
of Police Chief and Police Sergeant Civil Service Exams. She advised me that both
exams will have to be scheduled some time after January 1,2007. She also said that
the Trustees need to make the decision whether to hold promotional or open exams
in both cases. Will you notify the Mayor about this, or do you want me to? Please
advise.
