REPORT BY DEPARTMENT:
1. PIIBLIC WORKS
a.Street System: The potholes were not bad this winter due to the fact that it
was a mile winter. We had crews out ail winter patching. I've been
talking with Suit Kote to decide when to micro-pave the roacls from the
05-06 budget that was put on hold until this Spring. we are micro-paving
Berkshire, a section of Iroquois, and cambridge Place. we were going to
micro-pave warwick and Randolph Roads, but the suit*Kote saresman
said that we need to repair it another way. we are not working on that. I
am slow preparing a list of roads that are going to be done in the 06-07
budget which I will show you on an attached sheet.
Storm water System: we have been cleaning the catch basirrs all winter.
The drainage systems seem to be working well all around the village, with
a small amount of problems.
water System: we installed2water services on Hanshaw Road from the
new water main. we had a water main break at902 Triphammer Road on
3/25/06 when the water department turned the 2 valves down to shut the
water flow down. They broke them. we repaired them on3128106 and.
3130/06.
Sewer System: we are getting our sewer flusher ready for the annual
spring maintenance program of flushing lines. we flush lines all over the
village every year, which has cut down on the amount of sewer plug-ups.
We flush approximately 2 miles every year.
Solid waste: This time of year everyone is cleaning up their yards from
debris so the brush and cans of leaves are alotheavier. It takes us a little
longer to pick it up than usual.
