Further Description of Basic Engineering services and Related Matters The Basic Services of Engineer as described in the Letter Agreement are amended orsupplemented as indicated below. During the Study and Report Phase Engineer shall: 1. Develop I WATE,RCAP Hvdraulic Model of the Sheldon Roqd Tank Distribution Svstema. Convert the CYBERNET computer model of the sy fIthaca to the WATERCAD environment.b. Review alldigital and tabular information within the converted file and system operating parameters such as tank levels, pressure reducing station seitings andvalve status.c. Update the model to reflect present dynamic operations. Domestic base flowthroughout the system is assumed to be unchanged. Analvze the Existino Svstema. Review the hydrant flow test results completed in 2005 by the SCLIWC and VCHFire Department to determine inconsistencies, if any, in computations orconclusions.b. Adjust pipe coefficients to reflect size, age and known conditions to duplicate 200bflow test results. Based on the results of the adjusted model recommend additional, flow tests and procedures to isolate critical system deficiencies.c' Coordinate with SCLIWC and Owner staff to exercise system valves and hydrants.Observe interior condition of pipe where any sections have or may be removed. Calibrate the Modela- Monitor recommended flow tests and re-calibrate the model. The modetwill attemptto duplicate results within 10+/- psi and 100+/- gpm of actuqf tests. Evaluate Svstem lmprovementsa- Review with Owner and SCLIWC potential projects that will provide additional looping or replace existing pipe. prioritize the list of projects.b. Utilizing the model, sequentially add the prioritized proj-ects and analyze thecumulative hydraulic improvements. As many as six (6) model analyies areincluded. Prepare a Letter Reporta. Provide " dtull lelter report summarizing the procelurys and findings of this studyand review with the Owner's Engineer and SCLIWC. Report will include cost estimates for each of the improvement projects together with schematic plans of theexisting and proposed piping network.b. Present a final letter report to the owner at a Trustees meeting.c. Furnish six (6) copies of the final letter report to the Owner. 3. 4. 5.
