Dear Brent:
This will follow on our telephone conversations regarding the request of Kendal at Ithaca for
conflrmation that the Village of Cayuga Heights (the "Village") has no objection to the termination of the
easement, which was retained by Cornell University n a 1978 deed to Teddy and Pamela Coviello
(6581490). The reservation of this easement included rights to the Village or any other govemmental
agency for purposes of making the right-of-way into a public road. The easement has been continued
throughout the chain of title and currently is a burden on the property that is now owned by Leslie
Trotter. Mr. Trotter has asked Kendal atlthacato relinquish the easement and terminate all rights
including the rights of the Viilage, because he has found it difficult to sell the property with this burden
on the titie.
We wouid like your written confirmationthat the Village has no objection to the termination of
the easement, including the Village's right in that easement. I understand from my partner, David Tyier,
that the Village trustees have considered this matter and that you are now in a position to provide such a
letter.
