'we are writing this letter to you and the members of the Board ofTrustees of cayuga Heights conceming the proposed greenhouse
restoration of Marcham Hail. As you know, this proposed restoration isto be given in memory of Ellen Megandt-Luterbacher by close friends ofEllen's. We enthusiastically endorse this proposal.
As a recipient of this memorial, Elien is unusually qualified becauseof the magnitude of her life's work. she received a doctorate from theuniversity of Michigul. Her major interest was Anthroporogy. As herc-areer developed, she became interested in many issues concerned withthe environment and worked on projects
"ono."t.d with the humandimensions of climate change. Th. -ugrritude of her work is significantand qualifies her for this hoior. she died on February 5,2009.
Furthermore, her involvement with cayugaHeights during her entirelife is noteworthy she grew up in cayugiulights beginning'in rheearly 1950's at 110 Hampto'Road. she atteno"a cuyoga HJightsschool, then Boynton Junior High school ancl finally attendea u"agraduated from Ithaca High Schoor. she is a graduate of vassar collegeand then went on to the university of Michigal for her Doctorate.
