Permits for such food service business are subject to Zoning Section 4.2.c. “…restaurant or dairy bar for the serving of food and beverages, but only on “special approval” of the Board of Trustees…shall determine, after public hearing…such use is in the general welfare of the Village…” The applicant is proposing to operate a cake bakery and café with details of the operation as described in the business plan summary, available for review at the village office. Some of the details that are typically identified in the final permit approval include such issues as: menu, seating (indoor/outdoor), hours of operation, etc. Please note that signage will be regulated by Zoning Section 17. Signs: each business shall be allowed to have a 10 sf sign area. As required by the Zoning Section 4.2, a public hearing has been scheduled for 7:00 pm on November 16, 2015 to seek information from the public about this proposed project.
