REPORT: A zoning permit application, to allow an addition to the house, has been denied.
The proposed plans indicate that the addition will be located at approximately 9'
from the side property line, which is less than the 15' side yard setback required
by Zoning Ordinance Section 6. Yard Requirements.
The applicant has requested a variance to allow the addition to be built as
proposed. Therefore, a Public Hearing has been scheduled on May 7, 2012 @
7:00 pm at the Village Hall, 836 Hanshaw Road to hear public comment on this
case.
Please note that the existing house is already located at approximately 4' from
the same property line. It is likely that the existing structure(s) were built prior to
the enactment of the Village's zoning regulations in 1953.
