RE: 909 Hanshaw Road
REPORT: I have received an application for a Zoning Permit from Comers Community Center to transfer 242 sf of
land from 909 Hanshaw Road (tax parcel 10-4-1.2)to the Village of Cayuga Heights for a sidewalk Right
of Way, resulting in an increase of lot coverage to 16.6%, which is greater than the 15% allowed by the
Village of Cayuga Heights Zoning Ordinance Section 7: Building Coverage in a Commercial District.
It should be noted that the tax parcel 10-4-1.2 has some land that is in the Residential Zoning District that
has been "reserved"to make up for the difference of 1.6% extra lot coverage. This variance request
would officially recognize a condition that has existed since the last new building constructed in the
1980's. (Chemung Bank replaced the footprint demolished by Comer's Auto and the old Bank)
Therefore, a Public Hearing has been scheduled on June 7, 2010 @ 7:00 pm at the Village Hall, 836
Hanshaw Road to seek comments on this proposed land transfer. The following properties are located
