I have extensive experience in law enforcement support positions, and am confident that I would be an
excellent addition to the Village. I have worked as a 9-1-1 operator jn an e.mergency call center for a large
county, and during the course of that employment became very skilled with making quick and correct
decisions based on laws, policies, procedurei and established precedents. I have also worked most
recently as a dispatcher'with the cortland county sheriff's office, where I answered emergency calls for
service, determined the nature of emergency and dispatched the appropriate departments for assistance'
The position required constant contact irith offi."ts, iirefighters, investigators and volunteers with the use
of a iwo-way radio and telephone. My experience with as a 9-1-1 operator and as a dispatcher has given
me years of experience with answering questions from citizens and officers, communicating with the
prnfi., making'independent decisions-based on law and policy, the correct handling of paperwork, and the
to
importance of confidentialitY.
