At a minimum, my recommendation is we go with the $3,375 repair and painting in
Sept/Oct, and/or budget additionally for tie new windows as practical thereafter by
the same contractor lfieaver Dam Construction has proven to VOCH they do Quality
Cost Efficient WorkJ.'ldeally we can do the whole pioject at once' to take care of any
and all water/air leakage-energy loss problems at the same time'
I propose this neceSsary maintenance and repair for our consideration and decision

WQHKERS COMPENSATIQN INSUHANCE
Hiring a rornodeling company that carries Liability and Workers Compensation Insurances provides financial proteotion
to homeownere, lf an employee of the contracting company was injured on your property, the laws of New York State are
such that the injured ernployee will collect lroff someone, regardless ol lhe conditlons that led to the injury.
New York State has an "ab$olute liability" clause on lhe books, This means that the worker carries no personal
responsibility lor his own injuries. He could be drunk, disobeying a supervisor, and in violation of company policies, yot if
he gets hurt on the job it is an unquestionable right of his to receive benefits.
The Jirst defense for the homeowner is the Workers Compensation lnsurance carried by the injured worl(6r's employer. lf
the business doesn't carry Workers Compensation Insurance, the naxt in line is the injured parson's ernployer's Liability
lnsurflnce. Third in line to pay lor the injury is the homeowner's in$urance. A SEHIOUS INJUHY COULb REEULT lN

SAFETY FEQUIREMENTS
To the best of knowledge Crown Construction will cornply with OSHA safety regulations on and off the job site. As a part
ol our safety policy we will provide on each joh site: Ten-pound fire extinguisher, first aid kit and properly labeled tadders
and scaffolding, All Crown Construction employees are also trained in construction safety policies before coming on your
job site.
MOLD AND MILDEW
Mold and mildew have been fourrd to Srow in cold wel or unvented areas of the honre. Even with proper ventilation and
insulation, mold and mildew mey still naturally occur and grow in the house, The remodeling work we are performing in
this contract will not prevBnt this natural occurrencB of rnold and mildew from forming. Consequently, custom6r agrBes
that Crown Construction will not he held responsible lor the presence ol rnolcl and mildew in the home or in their project.
MATEHIALS PROVIDED BY OWNEH
Owner guarantees all materials purchased and provided by owner in place of materials specified and provided by
contractors. Owner is reeponsible for additional coets incurred if the project is delayed due to imperfections or dellvery
scheduling ol the products, Contractors roserve tha right to cancel the contract if lhe rnaterial purchased by owner does
not meet or exceed contractor'$ standards.
HE-USE OF EXISTING FIXTUFIE$/MATEHIAL$
No guarantee or warranty on existing/used llxtures or rflaterials, All cabinets, bathroom and kitchen lixtures,
appliances, HVAC, lighiing, wiring, lurflber, beams, boards, siding, $tons, crlncr€te, and insulation that has been romoved
from the site and saved to be ro-used may be damaged during iear-out, or prove inadequate lor re-use. Grown
Construction will charge time and materials to the Owner for any rnalerials specilied for re-use that must be replaced
during or aller the construction process.
CHOWN CONSTBUCTION 5 YEAH LABOH WAFIRANTY
Crown Construction starrds behind allthe work we do with a limited 5-year labor warranty (roofing provides 2-year). We
also help to represent our customBr$ when it comee to any problems that may ariss with our products or with our vendors.
lf a problem arises in which a vendor is not honoring their writterr warranty with our customer, then Crown Construction
will uss our influence tq help our customers in the cornmunication process.
CALL BACK POLICY
For any callbacks that may arise, it is our goal to contact the customer within 24 hours. We will schedule our crew$ to fix
the problem no later than before our crew starts their next job. Our goal is to fix any callhackE frorn two to four weeks of
the inilialcall. Crown Construction lnc will nol warrant any owner-provided fiaterial. Those produci warfanties willbe that
of the manulacturer and the sole responsibility of the Owner. Limited 5 Year Labor warranty exclude$ any claims made
due td acts of God, extrerne weather, hurricane, hail, tornado, projectiles due to high winds,flooding.
