Please find attached a few pages covering the TCCOG Health Care Rates and Plan as
it has been laid out for all of the municipalities, except VOCH, Village of Lansing and
Freeville. There is still some calculating to be done bef,ween the Municipalities and
Locey and Cahill as it relates to rates and coverage for the others and us remaining.
By copy of this note, |eff Silber, can you double check with Mf on Friday, and
perhaps Locey & Cahill.A.SAP, to see if you can assist or expedite? Locey & Cahill's
PH# in Syracuse is 315-425-I424,and our contact is Steve Locey.
At the last TCCOG Board Meeting, TCCOG Members passed a resolution that said we
were generally all favorable and predetermined towards a municipal-wide decision
by August 'L,2A09, depending upon the contract, rates and coverage and each
municipality's final Board Vote.
Surprisingly, the Town of lthaca and the City of trthaca saw their rates increase vs.
their current coverage, but when weighed against an "expected 150/o increase in
Teamster's Rates for 20L0", TCCOG saved a bit over 5% in 2010 for each entity.
What we should likely expect is a stabilization of rates from year to year w/equal
coverage at the very least. Many I'CCOG members were surprised to note that many
municipalities did not see an immediate savings, and there was some discussion
leaning towards the more premium the coverage, the less likely the rate reduction.
We'll know SOON!!!!
