MIIQUTES of a Special Meeting held in the Village Office on Monday, August 26,
1968 at 4:30 P.M.

OTHERS PRESENT: Attorney Richard Thaler and Robert Williamson, Town of
Lansing Attorney.
Mayor Marcham gave the background.for the water charges to the Town of Lansing.
He called on Mr. Thaler, who represented the Triphammer Development Company,
Inc. to express his views on the problem.
Mr. Thaler gave a detailed account of the difficulties experienced by the.
Triphammer Development Company, Inc. regarding the water-situation. He
explained the emergency nature of the temporary hook. -up to city water.and
that they did not realize the Village was involved. It was only after
receiving the bill from Mr. Dates, Supervisor of the Town of Lansing; that
they were aware a charge was to be made. '
Engineer Rogers explained the Village viewpoint bringing out the.necessity
to reconstruct North Triphammer Road in the.Village,.the cost being borne by
Villagers, due to the erection of Triphammer Development.Company, Inc. also
the fact that property values in the area went down, as well as other facts
and figures.
After some further comments from Mr. Thaler,.Attorney Williamson said.he
would tell Supervisor Dates to pay the charges so the Town of.Lansing,cen
hook -up the Sewer District No. 2.
Mayor Marcham concluded the meeting with a few pertinent remarks..
