Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights Subject: Police Department report for October, 1968 Gentlemen: During the month of October 1968, the Police Department handled 55 complaints and 4 reported motor vehicle accidents. The Department issued 73 traffic summonses and 74 parking tickets. During the month one or more officers attended the following schools: In Service School, Binghamton - 8 hours; FBI Law enforcement Conference, Bing- hamton - 4 hours; Baton Training, Cayuga Heights - 3 hours; and Communications Conference, Endicott - 8 hours. Approval is requested to send Sergeant McEwen to a Municipal Police Training Course in Police Supervision, Broome Technical Community College, Binghamton, New York from December 2 - 13, 1968. This course is mandatory by the State for Sergeant McEwen since his appointment as a First Line Super- visory Officer was after July 1, 1967. A summary of the traffic counts presently being compiled by the Department will be ready for distribution to the Board Members at the regular November meeting.
