Minutes 1/8/1966RE Mayor Marcham read the proposed amendments to the traffic ordinance and Zoning Officer Rogers explained the Sigma Chi Fraternity at 106 Cayuga Heights Road had been informed they would need to increase their parking area to accommodate cars of its occupants and employees. He then stated the Ellis apartment house at 107 Cayuga Heights Road is in, violation of Section 8� . of the Traffic Ordinance, since angle parking is unauthorized. Mr. Schoenfeld representing Mr. Ellis requested a variance to provide parallel parking in front of the building at 107 Cayuga Heights Road which along with additional spaces planned for at the side would accommodate the occupants cars. He was advised that such a request for a variance would need to be made to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Public Hearing closed at 8:55 P.M. 9/8/66 Vera W. Snyder There was a discussion on the wording of Local Law No. One 9or,the year. 1966 covering enabling legislation to form sidewalk districts in the Village of Cayuga Heights. RESOLUTION 963 - ADOPT LOCAL LAW NO. ONE of 1966 VOTED resolved to adopt Local Law No. One of the year 1966- Formation of Sidewalk Districts in the Village of Cayuga Heights as corrected, a copy of which is attached. RESOLUTION 964 - ADOPT AMENDMENTS TO ARTICLE VI VOTED resolved to adopt Amend:pents to Village of Cayuga Heights Ordinance, Article VI under Parking, Standing and Stopping, Section 82, Parking Prohibited in designated Locations by adding.the following three items: to wit "k. On the east side of Cayuga Heights Road within the right of way line from the south Village line north to Wyckoff Road. 1. On both sides-of street within the right of way lines on Kline Road from Cayuga Heights Road east to intersection of Kline and 9/8/66 LI Wyckoff Roads. m. On both sides of street within the right of way lines on Wyckoff Road from Cayuga Heights Road east to intersection of Wyckoff and ® Kline roads. Effective October 1, 1966. �F iF RESOLUTION 965 - ATTENDANCE AT POLICE SCHOOL VOTED resolved to authorize.attendance of Sergeant McGraw and Patrolman McEwen at Police School of Instruction.at Community College at.Auburn, New . York for the fall semester September 9, 1966 and to pay their tuition of $26.00 each. Mayor Marcham brought the Board up to date on the status of.land claim case against the state and the thinking at present is to'try both parts of the, case at the same time. Department of Public Works'claims they are anxious to handle-the matter as soon as possible., Mr. Liguori would like a written proposal`of some sort;: which can be.accepted ' or rejected. Attorney Sovocool explained details of what is involved and after discussion it was suggested that a meeting be held with Engineer, Attorney Sovocool, Mr. Liguori and Mayor Marcham. rJ Voted to authorize Treasurer Wheeler to make the following transfer of funds: $840.34 from A -290 -650 to A -290 -400 and $500.00 from G -290 -650 to G- 124,400.
