RESOLUTION 840 - NOMINATING OCto7ITPEE
VOTED resolved to appoint the following persons to serve on the Nominating
Committee: Chairman, John L. Munschauer, Robert Storandt, Harold Fisher,
Mrs. Knight Biggerstaff and Mrs. Ronald Anderson.

RESOLUTION 841 - INSPECTORS OF ELECTION
VOTED resolved to approve the appointment of Inspectors of Election as
recommended by Mayor Marcham; Chairman Mrs. George Raleigh, Mrs. Eben Tisdale,
Mrs. William Wilcox and Mrs. Alice Cashman.

..Mayor Marcham reminded the Board of the-Scheduled meeting on February 21st
at the school on the sidewalk problem in area east of North Triphammer
Road regarding 1) Sidewalk district; 2) North South walkway and 3) East West
walkway. I r
Mayor Marcham suggested a review of a possible amendment of Zoning regulations
in multiple residence district, deficiencies having been brought to our attention
by possible erection of an apartment building back of Pi Epsilon Phi. He
recommended, "Board approval" should be able to exercise certain amount of
restraint on such building.
RESOLUTION 842 - ZONING COMMITFEE
VOTED resolved to appoint a committee to consider changes relating to granting
of zoning permits in the multiple Residence and Commercial districts to
consist of.Trustee Taylor Lewis, Zoning Officer Rogers, Attorney Sovocool and
Mayor Marcham.
RESOLUTION 843 - "OTHER" BUSINESS PROCEDURE
VOTED resolved, any individual other than Village Officials wishing to present
business at a Board of Trustees meeting for their consideration, will be
required to present request in writing except in extraordinary circumstances.

RESOLUTION 844 - PUBLIC HEARING
VOTED to call a public hearing to-consider amendment of ordinance so as to
permit use of land within the Village for cemetery purposes by special
permission.of .the Village Board, on Monday, March 21, 1966 at 7:00 P.M.
Police Chief read his report for the month of January and itis on file in the
Village Office.

RESOLUTION 845 - ACCEPT WHITING'S RESIGNATION AS SERGEANT.
VOTED to accept resignation of sergeant's position from Frederick J. Whiting,
Jr. effective January 27, 1966.
RESOLUTION 846 - APPOINTMENT OF McGRAW AS SERGEANT
VOTED to approve.provisional.appointment of.Jack McGraw, Sr. to position of
Sergeant effective January 27, 1966.
RESOLUTION 847 - ATTENDANCE AT POLICE SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION
VOTED to authorize Jack McGraw and Harlin McEwen to attend "Supervision of
Police Training School" in Binghamton from May 9 -20, 1966. Village to pay
tuition of $75.
Mayor Marcham read the report of Fire Chief Morse, in his absence, and it
is on file in the Village Office.
Attorney Sovocool reported:Route 13 land take claim on calendar call
February 28th. The negotiations, with Tom Davis regarding payment of
taxes which included unpaid culvert pipe bill were brought to a standstill
by the publishing for tax sale. He also reported that John Arthur had
gone.into bankruptcy,- he owns'properties at 213 and 219 North Triphammer
Road which have unpaid taxes against them.
RESOLUTION 848 - FILE BANKRUPTCY CLAIM
VOTED resolved to authorize Attorney>Sovocool to file claim for unpaid taxes
on 213 and 219 North Triphammer Road with referee in the bankruptcy of John
Arthur.
Engineer Rogers reported he expected the new plow by the end of the week.. He
stated the snow plow blade he was authorized to buy. from Rock Salt. had
been sold prior to his inquiry and that -the sidewalk plowing is finally finished.
RESOLUTION 849 - OVERTIME .
VOTED to approve overtime for the month of January as follows: David Cornelius
12 hours - $27.00; H. Cornelius 51 hours - $163.71; R. Garvin 69 hours = $162..84;
S. Oltz 12 hours - $28.20; D. Grover W hours - $116.13 ;.and time worked.by
Tom Stamp of 5 hours at $1.50 per hour in storm emergency,

Clerk Snyder reported the following figures on Assessments as arrived at

VOTED resolved to cause a copy of the 1965 census enumeration (3)227) to be
filed in the Office of the Secretary of State together with a copy of this
resolution to classify the Village of Cayuga Heights a second class Village.
On recommendation of Budget Committee, appointed to review requested budgets
of heads of department and village officials and also to study and recommend
procedure to follow on securing exemptioncE villagers from paying Items 3 & 4
of the Town Highway Tex, the following action was taken:

VOTED resolved to:continue to cooperate with the Town of Ithaca, for the
time being in regard to use of highway equipment and not to pursue further
our request for exemption of items 3 & 4 from Town Highway taxes for villagers.
RESOLUTION 852 - 1966 -67 cwaTTEE OF THE WHOLE
VOTED Resolved that the Trustees, acting as a Committee of the Whole make up
the 1966 -67 Budget..
RESOLUTION 853 - TENTATIVE BUDGET
VOTED resolved to present tentative budget at Annual Residents Meeting,
February 28, 1966.

Mayor Marcham reported on progress on Route 13 land take and a conversation
he had with an attorney who is an expert in regard to procedures on state land
claims and his recommendation of securing the services of Rodman Fellows as an
experienced witness in such matters.
RESOLUTION 855 - COURT OF CLAIMS CASE
VOTED resolved to authorize Mayor. Marcham to contact Mr. Rodney Fellows and pay
his fee of approximately $300 plus $125 a day for court appearance pro rated for
services to be rendered in regard to Village Court of Claims case.

RESOLUTION 856 - TOM DAVIS CULVERT SETTLEMENT
VOTED resolved to settle the Tom Davis culvert case by returning to Mr. Davis
the,,sum.of $72.50 for part of culvert pipe and accept his check in payment of his bill
in the amount of $582.08 as full satisfaction for his 1965 Taxes and Assessments.
