RESOLUTION 887 - 1966 -67 BUDGET VOTED resolved to adopt the 1966 -67 Budget and appended salary and wage schedule as incorporated in the minutes of this meeting. RESOLUTION 888 - REGULAR MEETING DATE VOTED resolved to, hold regular Board of Trustees meetings on the second Monday of the month. Next regular meeting will be May 9, 1966. . THE PUBLIC HEARING on proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance was called to order at 7:30 P.M. in the.Village Fire Station on Monday, April.11, 1966. PRESENT: Mayor .Frederick G. Mayor Marcham briefed those present on the reasons for the proposed amendment to Article XI — Zoning, Section 3. Multiple Housing District and had copies passed. The following suggestions were made from the floor: - 1. That topography of site also be considered by the Board 2. To limit paved parking area to preserve green area 3. To display plot plans in Village Office 4. To hold a public hearing before apartment dwelling is permitted to be erected. The Mayor stated that Section 4. Commercial District should read as follows: Add after subsection 9: "Provided that any landowner who intends to use land for any purposes mentioned in this Section shell comply with the requirements set forth under Section 3, subsection 3 above." Mayor Marcham summed up the meeting by-asking the following question: "In view of the general objectives set forth in these requirements relating to the Multiple Housing and Commercial Districts and in view of the suggested alterations or shadings of meaning that have been presented by three or four speakers, would this group be prepared to express an opinion favorable to the purpose of these changes and in harmony with the observations that have been made by a raising of hands?" RESOLUTION 889 - AWARD OF POLICE.CAR CONTRACT 1966 VOTED resolved to award the contract to Cayuga Motors Inc.. for a 1966.Ford without trade -in at bid price of $1,996.50. RESOLUTION 890 - AUTHORIZE MAYOR TO SELL 1964.cHEVROLET VOTED resolved to authorize the Mayor to sell the 1964 Chevrolet police car to the highest bidder above trade -in allowance. Fire Chief Vorhis reported that before he made his recommendations on `.the. Carriage House Apartment.buildings to the Board, he desired to await.:the results of a meeting on Multiple Residence requirements to be held in Elmira and which will be attended by several local representatives.'._ RESOLUTION 891 - ,CONFORMANCE OF CARRIAGE; HOUSE WITH MITCHELL LAW VOTED to authorize the Mayor to appoint a committee to act,on recommendations of Fire Chief Vorhis, who is also Village Fire Inspector,.in notifying the builder of the Carriage House, he is not complying with the Multiple' Housing or Mitchell Law and require him to conform. 4/17:/66 Ill F The Public Hearing held earlier this evening was discussed and the following action was taken: RESOLUTION 892 - ATTORNEY TO REPHRASE AMENWENT TO ORDINANCE VOTED that Attorney Sovocool be requested to prepare appropriate language to incorporate the suggestions that were made in the document presented from the floor and at this Board meeting, and present the Amendment at our next regular meeting, May 9, 1966. 9F dF 9F Mayor Marcham inquired whether we are willing to sell our sewer plant to a County Sewer District and if Trustees think this is proper time to test public opinion regarding this or wait until price has been established. Village would still be responsible for secondary sewer lines other than trunk lines. It was agreed that it would be premature at this time to hold a public hearing since no detailed proposal has been submitted. The Board of Trustees is prepared to affirm their interest in the formation of a County Sewer District and in the operation by that district, of the Village sewage plant, provided that the terms for the acquisition of the plant and the provision of sewer service to the Villagers is deemed equitable by the Villagers. RESOLUTION 893 - MAYOR AUTHORIZED TO ANSWER DATES LETTER VOTED to authorize Mayor Marcham to write a letter to the Chairman of the Coutity Sewer Agency, Harris Dates as discussed. 9F 9t• 9F VOTED to approve overtime for March as follows: Cornelius $38.52; Garvin $35.40; Grover $28.44 and Oltz $34.95• Engineer Rogers advised the Board of a letter received from Avery Gentle regarding a prospective sale of 702 -704 Triphammer Road lots and brought their attention to the fact that although the division of this property made the lots less than minimum average width it was a. retroactive use.
