Marchem John Bebbington Katherine Ensworth Taylor Lewis Carl Nelson Bane Randolph John Rogers Roger Sovocool 48 persons attended the meeting. Mayor Marcham opened the hearing by reading the official notice and a letter from Attorney Albanese, representing Chase and Hewitt, owners of the property at 840 Hanshaw Road, requesting permission to extend and use the former Rogers residence as a restaurant. He also read the applicable ordinance. Plans for enlarging the present building were presented by the architect. Twenty people spoke for or against the proposed restaurant. Nine persons spoke in favor of it covering the following points: need for a high class restaurant, "Scotch 'n Sirloin of Vestal proposed to operate it serving limited menu of steak and lobster tails, 6 days a week, no live entertainment, no excess noise, no outside tables, emphasis on food not bar, bar sales approximately 39% of food sales, hours 5:30 to 10 P.M., food bar to 1:00 A.M.
