at the Village Office at 6:00 P.M.

The Board of Trustees sitting as the Board of Assessors from 6:00 to 10:00 P.M.
heard petitions for levies of the 1964 assessments for real property taxes,
sewer and water charges.

RESOLUTION 463 - 1964 -65 WATER - SPECIAL ASSESSMENT RATES
VOTED to fix the following rates for Water Improvement Fund - Special Assessment
$1.275 per M of total assessment and $.283 per foot of average width.

It was suggested (by Treasurer) we might put $15,000 toward an addition using
$12,000 from General Fund surplus and having Fire Department contribute $3,000
from their equipment reserve. If equipment is needed it could be financed on
Capital Note.

PUBLIC HEARING was held at Cayuga Heights School, 110 East Upland Road at
6:45 P.M.0 March 16, 1964 for the purpose of hearing all interested persons
for or against a proposed addition to Article V Section 3 in regard to the control
of Dutch Elm Disease.

Mayor Marcham explained the proposed ordinance and called on Tree Warden
Pimentel for facts regarding the spread of.Dutch Elm Disease by the Elm'tree
beetle and the necessity to remove and burn_.diseased elmwood prior to breeding
season of these bettles which begins the first part of April.' .
The spokesman) for the delegation of village residents,.objected to:the ordinance
because she claimed it was an invasion of privacy to have persons checking their
trees for disease.
