at 7:30 P. M. at the Village Office.

1: No bills were presented for approval.
2. There was no report by the 'Mayor.
3. Clerk called attention to some of the points brought out by the State Board
of Equalization and Assessment inasmuch as this was the first time that Village Assess-
ment was being made under the new Finance Law. He particularly noted the requirement
for Application for a Revision of Assessment ty the complaining property owner was
clearly spelled out in the law which requires that such complaint be filed with the
Village Clerk in the form of a statement under oath. Forms for this purpose are
available from the state, and agreeing that such procedure should be followed
IT WAS VOTED that complaints should be handled pursuant to the law and that when the
Clerk publishes the notice of assessment roll being filed with him that this fact be
stressed in the notice.
Engineer Crandall reviewed with the Trustees his comparison of.'assessments to
estimated true value in the City,.Toem and Village.
' IT WAS VOTED that assessment be on the basis of 43% of the true value.
Sitting as a Board of Assessors the Trustees proceeded to the consideration of
each property individually and completed assessments through the letter "H" in the
M� ^
"Old Village" portion.

1. The follmaing bills were. approved for.`payment.= See Schedule 9 and 9S
2. `.IT WAS VOTED to- approve'.the action of the•14ayor signing for the Village for
gas service by the New York Electric & Gas Corporation at the, new;Fire.Station and
Office Building.
The 144yor,noted that'a Package Lieuor Store, to be operated by James Conley 1.
in the portion of the building to the rear'of the Branch Bank, now occupied

temporarily by the Fire Truck was due to beinn operation .in early.Iriarch. Con -
struction'and;.remodeling is being. hampered by presence of the Fire. Truck and
since ..the.eonstruction work on the Fire.Station is considerably behind schedule,
Trustee Simpson,. on behalf of the.Fire Commissioners .was . requested'to see what
could be done to speed up the comoletion of the Fire Truck quarters.`.
3. Sitting as Assessors, the Board continued to consider each property separately
and completed the properties in the old village and through Ben Boynton, Texas Lane in
the Annexed Area.
