MINUTES of ,a special meeting of the Village Board held on
;Tuesday, February 16, 1954 at 4:20 P.M. at Willard Straight Hall.

1. IT WAS VOTED to approve the appointment of Ralph C. Garvin
'as Road Maintdimer at the semi - monthly salary mate of 5129.16.
2. The following bills were approved for payment:

3: The Trustees reviewed the report of the Zoning Board of
Appeals regarding the Cornell Residential Club. The matter was con -
!sidered at length, and
IT WAS VOTED RESOLVED: That the Board of Trustees find as
:follows -
a) That•J. Reed Colbert and Robert Colbert were issued a
valid permit, #52- Dated Sept 19, 1952,•by'the Zoning
Officer for the construction and operation of a 50 unit
apartment building as requested in their application of
Sept 19", 1952, copy of which is included in these minutes.
b) That no permit was issued by the Zoning Officer for the
construction and operation of a residential clubhouse, or
for.any other use, except the aforesaid apartment. building.
THEREFORE the Board of Trustees find that the Colberts,
operating under the name of the Cornell Residential Club,
are.in violation of the Zoning Ordinance and the permit,
as reported to the Board by the Zoning Officer,
IT WAS'VOTED the Trustees hereby instruct the Zoning Officer
Ito notify the Colberts of the action of the Board, and in his letter of
transmittal to state that the effective date of start of penalties to
be 30 days after-the date of notice.
