Minutes 3/17/1952The annual meeting of.the reeidents of the.Village of Cayuga.Heights was held on Monday, March 17, 1952 at 9 P M. in the. schoolhouse: There were.24.persons present. ;. 1.. W. Secretary Por the ;meeting 2 Chairman Randel as Acting, Mayor,, in'--the absence of,Mayor ;,enerson gave a, report of.s,everal :;activities during "'.the paet;;year. 'He, mentioned .that,the.Village would no`longer,bill,:for sewer service bout that this would be .billed direotly.by the.'. City:on the water bill and'stated•.that the•City would bill owners for.::s ewer- in' the :amount . equal to' "one half their.water bill. He outlined•the,proposal. made by the, Cayuga Heights. Water District Improvement Association for enlargint 6he Village limits to take in .territory mostly lying north of the Village, but .stated *that nothing concrete had developed.as a result oP this idea. He.mentioned also that another:strip of sidewalk had been built on Triphammer Road'and "that it was planned to complete the Triphammer . sidewalk during,1952• j. The Engineer reported that:his work during the year had been mostly routine matters.but'that he would answer any,questions if anyone had ,inquiries. 4. Police Justice Shirey reported that.the year had been.a quiet one with:three cases of.speeding coming before him and 11 cases of all night.parking. He.stated many cases he only gave a warning instead,of,a fine as he felt this.made for better. public relations. He' said there.had been .some .breaking, of',street lights but the number was not high and'.these'were'replaced by,the Electric and GaB Corporation,at no cost to, the Village: 5. Treasurer Guise presented the flnanoial report and the budget.and explained.the meaning,of,each item. There were_a few. 12,a questions raised but no objections to any of the items as listed In the proposed budget... 6. Prof. Perry Gilbert as Chairman of the Nominating Committee, presented the following: slate: for Mayor,-Henry J. Shirey; for Trustees Edgar A. Whiting and A. W. Chamberlain. As there were no further nominations from the floor it was voted that.the nominations be closed. 7. Attention was called to the fact that Mayor Kenerson, had served three years as Trustee and 12-addition al years'. as Mayor, and it was voted to give him a vote of thanks and appreciation for his long service to the Board and to the residents of the Village. 8.
