MINUTES of a special meeting of the Village Board held
on Tuesday, May 22, 1951 at the Chamber of Commerce, at 7 :30 P.M.

After a general discussion of the problems involved.in
connection with the proposed construction of an 80 apartment.
building known as Rochelle Gardens, between Triphammer Road
and Highland Road, south of Country Club Road, and review of
Village policy with regard to roads, curbs, sidewalks,'utility
services, etc., the following actions were taken:
1. IT WAS VOTED RESOLVED,'that the Village will
accept a road built by the sponsors of Rochelle B ardens, located
from Triphammer Road to the east boundary of Kelvin Place
Extension, such road being a portion of the proposed Country
Club Road.
2. IT WAS VOTED RESOLVED7 that such road shall be built
in accordance'with a plan approved by the Village Board.
3. IT WAS VOTED RESOLVED, that -a four foot sideAlalk shall
be built on the south side of Country Club Road from Triphammer
Road to Kelvin Place Extension, the cost thereof to be borne
by the Village if the Village has title to the land at the time
of construction; if the Village does not have title, the cost.

re- imburse the project sponsors for the cost when title to the

7. IT WAS VOTED RESOLVED, that Fred Rogalsky be requested
to discuss with Messrs. Brainard and Woodcock and Pi Beta Phi the
sewer situation, namely, that if they wish sewer connections they
should be made prior to the construction of the new road; and to
request Mr. Rogalsky to report back to Engineer Crandall the results
of his discussions with the parties above mentioned.
