HomeMy WebLinkAboutReg Mtg. Minutes 9/19/195056 MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Village Board held on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 1950 at 7:30 P.M. at the home of Clerk Trousdale, 102 Northway Rd. PRESENT: C. J. Kenerson, Mayor W. S. Randel, Trustee C. I. Sayles, Trustee Sherwood Holt, Trustee L. C. Kent, Trustee C. H. Guise, Treasurer H. J. Shirey, Police Justice ' 1. The minutes of the July 25th and'Sept. 12th meeting were read and approved. 2. The following bills paid on authority of the Mayor were approved GENERAL Edward Thompson Co. - Law supplement for Clerk 2.00 POLICE WATER & FIRE McKinney Agency 11.20 SANITATION Stevens Service Station 2.53 College Chevrolet Co. 6.35 , W. The Mayor reported that he had received a letter from Mayor Shaw asking the Village's cooperation in the defense organi- zation which is now being set up. The Trustees agreed that they would be glad to cooperate in the fullest, and the Mayor was requested to answer Mayor ShkwIs letter and so inform him. ' 4. Treasurer Guise reported a cash balance on August 31st of $15,549.53, F' L 1 57 5. Police Justice Shirey made a report regarding activities In his department since the last meeting. 6. The Clerk was authorized to order 1,000 duplicate checks as the supply is running low. 7. IT WAS VOTED to hold a special meeting on October 17th in Mr. Crandall's office at 7:30 P.M. to make 'up the assessment roll for the coming year. S. The Trustees further considered the proposed ordinances and made minor changes therein. IT WAS VOTED to hold a public hearing In the schoolhouse on October 24th at 7:30 P.M. in connection with the new proposed ordinances and the Clerk was requested to notify the residents of the Village by mail of such hearing and to have available mimeographed copies of the proposed ordinances for distribution to all those interested. 9. IT WAS VOTED to hold Grievance Day on November 21st at the schoolhouse and to hold a regular meeting of the Board following the Grievances. The hours were set from 7 to 11 P.id. 10.
