Trustees of'the Village of Cayuga.Heights held on :Monday`, April
3, 1950, at, 7:30,P.M. in the schoolhouse.

1. The minutes of the meeting of.March.-20th were, read :and',;.
approved.
2. The minutes of the.March 20th public meeting we re'
and ordered filed.
3- The following bills were approved for payment:;

4. The Clerk reported that he had received final.notice•for
payment to the City of Ithaca of the $5,000 due for sewer rentals.
and final notice of $900 due for hydrant service. It was
reported that the City understands that..these bills can not be
paid until tax money is received in June, and
IT WAS VOTED to request the Clerk to.write the City Chamber-
lain regarding this understanding.
5. The Treasurer_ reported a cash balance as of March 31st
of $4,314.43 and stated that all Northway, Road _curb assessments
due by April let had been paid except one in the amount of $58 00
The.Treasurer reported that he had received:a check for:`
$107.98 representing, fire insurance dividends.

IT WAS VOTED that the sum of $107.98 representing.fire
insurance.dividends ` be paid over.to the City`of Ithaca
6. The audit of the—Village finances for the past fiscal'
year AIs. presented by Paul Bradford was examined by :the ;Trustees and

7.: ..The audit made by the. State Auditor. Edward-L. -Quinn for
the period Mar. it 1947 to Feb. 28, 1949 was;'presented. and .
.,studied by,the Trustees. It was.noted thatrthe only recommendation
was in connection,. with the form of tax roll used, and'a ":,long
discussion followed regarding this recommendation.`
'IT WAS VOTED that d copy:of an approved assessment roll be
obtained from Mr. Owens of the Williamson Law Book Co and that
Treasurer Guise and.Clerk Trousdale study this type.of assessment
roll and report at the next meeting.

IT WAS VOTED that the Trustees would "make a thorough study
of the State Auditor's recommendation.
8. The Police Justice reported that during the past year
he had 18 cases of which 6 were for speeding and 12 were for
miscellaneous parking infractions. He stated'that he was "filing
.a written retort with the Clerk.
9. In accordance with the request made to Mr..Shirey
regarding the Cicchetti house; he reported that,it was his
opinion that Mrs. Ciechetti had violated ".the Village ordinance
in constructing a"three apartment house,in Zone 1 within the
Village,... He said he was f.iling.a written report .with "the Clerk.
This matter was•.discussed,at great : length,by- the..Truste, es It
was decided;that Zoning Officer Crandall should notify Mrs

Cicehetti that she.has violated the Zoning'Ordinanoe . and,tell
her, she should take the matter up with the Zoning Board,of Appeals.

10. The Inspectors. of Election reported that.Mayor
Kenerson and Trustees 9ayles.and Holt had been re- elected at
the Village ,election held, on March 21st
11: Mayor Kenerson. appointed Trustee Randel as.Acting:,
Mayor for, the year 1950 -5i.
12. IT WAS VOTED that the .Trustees. make: the following
appointments
a) C. H. Guise as, Treasurer,& Collector for 2.years ending:.:,.
in,1952 at a salary :of $600 per year.
b) J. B. Trousdale as Clerk for 2:yeare ending in 1952 'at
a salary of $600 per year.
c) Carl Crandall as Engineer for 1950 =51 at a salary of
-1750:
d) Carl Crandall as Zoning Officer, for 1950 -51.•
e) Carl Crandall as Police Commissioner, for 1950 -51 at a
salary of $150.
f) Robert.C. VanZile as Police Patrolman for 1950 -51 at'a
salary of $2,250 plus car:allowance.of $700.00.
13. The following resolutions were voted by the Board:
a) That the First National Bank of Ithaca, N. Y. be
designated as the official depository of Village funds for the
fiscal 'year 1950 -51..
b) That the Clerk be 'authorized to.notify.the, official bank,,.
of the following names to be honored on checks for.the year,1950 -51:
C. J. Kenerson,`Mayor or, W.. B. Randel, Acting Maypr; J. B...
Trousdale, Clerk and C,•H. Guise, Treasurer..
c)'That'the Treasurer be, bonded in_the amount 6f124 bob
for the period from-March 1, 1950 to Feb. 29; 1952
d) That the Clerk be bonded in the amount of $1,000 for the .
