Minutes 11/15/19491 L_ J 1 19 MINUTES of a special mee ting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights held at the schoolhouse at 7 P.M. on November 15, 1949. 1. On this date the Board of Trustees eat for four hours from 7 P.M. until 11 P.M. as a Board of Assessors to hear grievances and complaints with regard to the assessment roll as prepared by them for the year 1950 and as filed with the Village Clerk on October 19, 1949. 2. Complaints were received from the following: a) Dr. William C..aeer regarding the assessment on his laboratory at 624 Highland Road Boumded N- .Village line E- Iighland Road S- Cayuga Park Circle W- Cayuga Park Road The claimant was represented by L. N. Simmons and Allan Treman objecting to the assessment of $14,000. ACTION% It was decided that the triangular piece of land lying between Dr. seer's laboratory lot and the Village line be assessed as a separate parcel as it is part of his louse lot instead of part of his laboratory lot, and the amount of the assessment was fixed at $500. IT WAS VOTED that the laboratory assessment be decreased from $10,000 to $9,000, and that the land assessment be decreased from $4,000 to $3,000, making a total assessment of $12,000 on this parcel. b) Fletcher H,. Woodcock regarding the assessment on his property at 398 Triphammer Road W Bounded N- Right of way E- Triphammer Road S- Country Club Road W- Westview Terrace, Inc. The claimant appeared in person objecting to the assessment of 016,000. ACTION: IT WAS VOTED to decrease the house assessment from 013,500 to #12,500, making his total assessment $15,000. c) Lyman G. Parrott regarding the assessment on his property at 513 Wyckoff Road Bounded N- Kyle E- Mason & Wightman S- Wyckoff Road W- Kyle The claimant appeared in person objecting to the assessment of $14,300. ACTION: IT WAS VOTED to decrease the house assessment from #12,500 to #1092009 making his total assessment• #12,000. 3. IT WAS VOTED WHEREAS: The Village Board of Cayuga Heights, acting as assessors of the said Village according to a resolution previously adopted, have prepared an assessment roll for 1950 and filed it in duplicate with the Clerk of the Village prior to November lot, 1949 and WHEREAS: The Clerk caused a notice to be published.in the official newspaper of the Village and posted in five conspicuous places in the Village before November 8, 1949 a notice that the 1950 assessment roll was filed at his residence, 102 Northway Road, Cayuga Heights, New York, where it might be seen until November 15, 1949 and WHEREAS: On the said 15th day of November's Grievance Day was held and the said Board met from 7 P.M. until 11 P.M. on the same day, three persons appearing and changes made as disclosed in the minutes of the said Board, now therefore be it RESOLVED that the said assessment roll as now prepared and verified with the assessor's oath be now completed, verified and ordered filed with the Clerk, in the total amount of $3 ►342,729.
