It was reported that when the Greater Ithaca Fact Finding Committee was established an initial contribution of {500 (rather than $1,000 as previously thought) had been contributed from the City, $250 from the Town and $250 from the Village. With these facts in mind, a contribution at this time of $1,000 from the Village, $1,000 from the Town and $2,000 from the City would be in the same proportion. The Trustees agreed to go along with the Committee but thought they should first have additional information regarding the budget of the Committee. The Mayor agreed to get this from Prof. Hill. 3. It was reported that the Alpha Tau Omega lot on Triphammer Road which has been filled in this summer with dirt taken from University excavations is now being used by various persons as a refuse dump, thus violating a Village ordinance. The Clerk was requested to write the fraternity asking them to clean the lot up promptly. 4. The Board of Trustees, meeting as a Board of Assessors, after considering each property separately, completed the Village ' Assessment Roll for the year 1949 and filed the roll with the Clerk. 5. The time set for the next meeting was on Grievance Day, MINUTES of a special meeting of the Village Board held on Tuesday, Nev: 19, 1948 at 7 P.M. in the office of Engineer Crandall. PRESENT: C. J. Kenerson; Mayor L. C. Kent, Trustee C. I. Bayles, Trustee Carl Crandall, Engineer C. H. Guise, Treasurer 1. The matter of approving an increase in the sewer tax bill to 05,000 and eliminating separate taxes on individual properties was discussed. No action was taken. 2.
