MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Village Board held on
Monday, Sept. 10, 1945, at 7 :30 P.M. at the home of Treasurer-Guise.

1 1. The minutes of the meeting of August 6th were read and
approved-i-
2. The following bills paid on authority of the Mayor were
approved:

Moran, Gleason & Knight 1,666.50
N.Y.State Else. & Gas Corp. 143.79
3. The following additional bills were approved,.subject
to the obtaining of the affidavits:

Alesandro Giannetti 73.50
Charles Collins 115.50
4. Treasurer Guise reported a balance of #12,663.55 on
Sept. let and accounts receivable for property and sewer taxes and
mowing charges in the amount of 0524.50.
Treasurer Guise reported that he and Clerk Trousdale had
examined the sample account book that had been sent.by a publishing
house and they agreed it was not suitable for the Village., Treas.
Guise said that the same rirm published another book that might be
more suitable and he was requested to get a sample copy of this for
examination by the committee.
5. Engineer Crandall reported that the second mowing of the
lots had been completed and that the new truck was not yet available
The Engineer reported that Haskins and VanZile had both assisted on
'
the paper collection in the Village on Sept. 9th.
The Engineer reported that the road re- surfacing had been
completed by Moran, Gleason & Knight.

6. Police Commissioner Crandall reported that Officer VanZile
had reported more speeding lately but he had not-been able to
apprehend anyone recently.
7. The Engineer brought up for discussion the matter of water
service being extended to the Cushman, Jones, and Treman properties
which lie outside the Village, and explained the policy of assess-
ments in the past for water connections to properties outside the
Village•limits:-
IT WAS VOTED that the Cushman lot should be assessed 050, the
Jones lot #50, and the Treman l0ts #100. These assessments will
become due and-payable-at such time as they apply for water connection.
B. The Clerk reported -that the affidavits and the notices of
the Village Law had been printed but had not yet-been-delivered.
The Clerk reported that he had received through Mayor Kenerson
a copy of the public service commission action having to do with '
the practices of the Ithaca Railway Co, in selling tickets: This
was ordered filed.
9. The next meeting was set for October lst'at 7:30 P.M. and
upon invitation of Trustee -Holt the meeting will be held at his
residence on Sunset Drive.
10. The meeting adjourned at 8:55 P.M.
