The Engineer.explained that the Village truck was very old and in poor condition and he,felt that the Village-should obtain a new truck if such were possible:. -W iih,.this in mind, he asked the College Chevrolet Co, to make a- quotation for a'.new: dump truck and the quotation from the College Chevrolet.Co is attached herewith. After discussion,'.. IT WAS VOTED to 4ccept the' offer for anew dump truck in the approximate amount of. $1'928,:38 less ,a trade -in value of:. 150' on the old truck, and' Engineer. Trustee Shirley reported that he had written four. letters to the taxicab men in an effort to get samples of.the rate card" to be posted in the, taxicabs, but had received no reply. .He was requested to write again stating that if the rate card was not furnished, the Village Board at its next meeting would take action to establish an ordinance to.regulate.taxicab.rates'in the Village. 10.
