The minutes of the meeting.of.April 2nd: were read and approved. 2. The following` bills" paid on authority of the tdayor were approved:. Trustee Shirey, reported that.the_ revised rate.card for,taki service in Cayuga.Heighter was given to a. representative of the taxicab men to be printed, but that'nothing. further . had been'heard.fro''it. Mayor Kenerson requested Trustee Shirey to follow;.,the matter up and.. report at the next meeting.' 4. Treasurer Guise.reported,a• cash balance.ae of May let of 02,338.02.: 5. Engineer Crandall repoxted.that the Board; of Public Works ' was having a meeting on May`9th to consider the application of the Village for the privilege of dumping-Village garbage an&'refuse.on. .. 67, the city dump. He said he had been informed informally by one of the city officials that he believed the Board of Public Works would approve.the request. 6. Engineer Crandall reported that the MacAniff house had been sold to Fred Brown.for.114,500. He also said•that the Charles Cornell house had.been sold ".." 7... Clerk Trousdale reported,that he had had ,a call from .Attorney Powers of.the.City,of Ithaca'requesting the Village to pay $100 to the City;Fire"Department in accordance with the - contract. The records'show that.the.Village paid the City.of Ithaca $100 on r Dec. 21, 1943, that the new contract was signed.January 6,' „1944 which provided -the payment of X100 a year payable in.advance,oh or before February lst. No payment was made•'at that time as - it.was assumed that the Dec..2lst payment in 1943 covered It.. A'. payment of #100 was made.Feb..9, 1945 It was decided that the Dec.1S)43 payment covered the :year 1943, and that the Feb. 1945 payment covered'the. year 1944.• It. was therefore VOTED'that #100 be paid at this time covering -the. year 1945. 8. Mayor Kenerson brought.up the matter of.the.revision of the Village.ordinances and after discussion it was.dscided, that the Trustees would sit as .a committee -of- the -whole at each regular meeting in the future and spend as much time.as was available working.'on the revision until the job was completed'.
