5. .The Engineer repbrted.that he had •issued a building
permit to W. M. Curtis for.the construct16n.`of a house on-Oak...
Hill Road: Engineer Crandall read a letter from Mr. ,Cicchetti ,
in which he inquired regarding Possible ,sewer. and, water con-

nections that might be- made if.he werejto.,construct, three houses ,
on the east side. of Triphammer Road
IT WAS VOTED .to thQ' Engineer to:grant� water.`
permits for these proposed houses'with the understanding !that, '
075 would be paid for each water connection and with'tiid 9
further understanding that the owner'must connect his sewer.in-

.6 At 7 :56 P.M. the Trustees declared'a'recess to
attend the annual meeting of the,residents.of the Village: At
9:55 P.M. the Board re- convened.
7. Engineer Crandall reported that he:had furnished
new Village maps to the Trustees and officers of the Village
but that he thought additional maps should-be furnished 'to 'the
Village foreman, the Village police officer,- : the .City�.of.Ithaca
Engineer, County Highway_ Superintendent, the Sheriff, and 'the
Town Assessors.

to the other officers above mentioned..

8. Engineer Crandall presented several letters of
application o
pp on f r the position of Village Police Officer, and
after due consideration of the qualifications of those "men
who had applied,
IT WAS VOTED that the Engineer be empowered,to employ.
Sherwood L. Begent as Police Officer for the balance. of the
present year at a salary of 01,200 per year..
9. IT WAS VOTED that C. H. Guise and J. B. Trousdale.be:
appointed inspectors of the Village election to beheld on
March 18, 1941 at the Village schoolhouse between the hours.of,
4 P.M. and 8 P.M.
10. IT WAS VOTED that the next meeting of the Board be,
held on April 7th at 7 :30.P.M.
11. IT WAS VOTED that the Budget Hearing on the proposed:
budget be held at 7 :30 P.M. on April 7th.
12. IT WAS VOTED that the budget as presented to the
residents of the Village by Treasurer Guise be recommended by
this Board to the new Board for adoption. The proposed budget
is attached hereto as a part of these minutes.
